Alex received his BSc and MSc degrees at Saint-Petersburg State University, Russia. He obtained his PhD in Prof. Mark Gandelman`s Group at Technion. There he worked on N-heterocyclic nitrenium ions and developed the triazenolysis reaction, a nitrogen analogue of canonical alkene ozonolysis. Alex joined the Roelfes Group in February 2026. At his spare time, Alex loves playing guitar and doing sports such as running, cycling and rock climbing.
