I am an associate professor at the University of Groningen with expertise in economic growth, productivity, and macroeconomic development.

I am also a regular consultant for the World Bank and United Nations, a visiting researcher at Statistics Netherlands (CBS), a research fellow at the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw) and a fellow at the Global Labor Organization.

My research contributed to the Horizon Europe "Twin Seeds" project and I managed a NWO research project on export quality in global value chains.
