I am an associate professor in the department of Economics, Econometrics & Finance at the University of Groningen. I teach courses and do research on several topics in the field of international financial management. I served the academic coordinator and director of the master programme of International Financial Management (IFM) between 2017 and 2026.

I am from Turkiye and have been living in the Netherlands since January 2006. I am a father of two young men. After having many injuries from playing basketball, volleyball and football, I have ended up being a beginner tennis player.
