Our evolving view on Gas Dynamics and Galaxy Evolution
Groningen, October 23 – 24, 2025
Groningen, October 23 – 24, 2025
This workshop will bring together a select group of local and international experts to discuss recent advances in our understanding of the evolution of low- and high-redshift galaxies, with a particular focus on the role of gas. We are aiming for an informal and friendly meeting, encouraging stimulating discussion around our evolving view on gas dynamics in galaxies, from early discoveries to the latest developments.
The meeting will take place in Groningen, the birthplace of some of the earliest and most influential studies on spatially resolved HI kinematics.
In addition, the workshop will celebrate the scientific careers of Renzo Sancisi and Tjeerd van Albada, whose pioneering contributions have been instrumental in shaping this field.
