Every year's programme of the Minor Future Planet Innovation wraps up with a closing symposium. For academic year '25-'26, FPI joined forces with the Minor Climate Change & Inequality and student association Atmos as co-hosts for the Sustainable Future Symposium. Sustainability Market

Ad van Wijk is Emeritus Professor of Future Energy Systems at TU Delft and a key architect of the EU hydrogen strategy. Trained as a physicist, he earned his PhD on wind energy at Utrecht University and founded Ecofys in 1984, pioneering major wind, solar, and bioenergy projects. His research focuses on future energy and hydrogen systems, including “The Green Village” at TU Delft. Van Wijk advises governments and companies, serves on multiple energy boards, and has received numerous national and international awards for entrepreneurship, innovation, and lifetime achievement.
