Plane + Train
From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Groningen can be reached via train. The schedule can be found here: www.ns.nl
You can use your credit or banking card to check in at the airport and check out at the ports when leaving the station in Groningen.
If you use an international train ticket, you can use the QR code at the ports to open them.
Bus
Groningen can also be reached by Flixbus (e.g. from Germany and Belgium). If you travel by train via Leer (Germany), the final section will also be a bus ride using the Arriva express bus.
Transportation within Groningen
Transportation within Groningen
The main mode of travel within Groningen is the bike. However, the city is also very walkable.
Bus lines are available as well. They can be used by tapping a banking or a credit card upon entering the bus and checking out again when leaving the bus. Bus lines 7, 9, 19, 39, 29 stop at the bus stop "Verlengde Visserstraat" which is very close to the conference location.
