Karla started in working in accounting while attending college. In her professional career, she has served as the sole accountant in a variety of organizations; including construction, retail, individual service providers, and most notably, non-profits. Her expertise has provided these organizations with the information needed to cut costs, streamline reporting, and make decisions about the business with solid numbers to back them up.

Karla's private career has been focused on providing individual and small business taxes, as well as personalized bookkeeping for several clients. She has helped several non-profit businesses convert their bookkeeping, making it more user-friendly and providing more accurate and helpful reporting.

Karla's strength comes from over 25 years of experience and her genuine love of organizing a businesses financial structure and processes.

Jason was raised on the family farm/ranch around Musselshell, MT until moving to the Miles City area in 1990. After his service in the United States Marine Corps, he started a career in law enforcement until after his first daughter was born. Jason went on to become an owner of a local Billings, MT farm equipment company, and has managed multi-million dollar businesses for over 20 years.

After being successful in the world of sales, Jason felt it would be a worthy endeavor to join his wife Karla and utilize his skills in her business to obtain the work-life balance desired for them both. Feeling the need to be able to spend more time with their 4 daughters, Ruby Accounting Services was born.

Jason has many accomplishments in the business world which harmonize with helping our clients to improve their business flows and management. Some of these include being a past president of the Montana Equipment Dealer’s Association and the former leader of multiple non-profit organizations, such as Al Bedoo Shrine and the Valley of Billings Scottish Rite.
