I do research on structural and earthquake engineering. I have also worked on pre and post disaster studies induced by natural hazards like landslide and earthquake. Currently i am working on structural and earthquake behavior of vernacular structures in the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. As structural earthquake engineer i also work on research on impact of ground motion on the non-engineered structures. The recent project is 'Comparative study on Seismic performance of Bhutanese RCC and vernacular structures'. Sustainability assessment of multifarious building typologies is another field under coverage which include vast emphasis and ideology of earth technology ( rammed earth, adobe, CSEB and wattle and daub).
