The pandemic means that writing groups in coffee shops and our writing retreats are both on hold at the moment.
But we have other options to support you in your endeavours...
Each Pomodoro is a block of 25-minutes. You'll get a WhatsApp message to tell you when to start and for the next 25 minutes, all you do is focus on the task you have set for yourself. No email, no social media, no coffee breaks. 25 uninterrupted minutes of reading or writing. Then 5 minutes comfort break where we send each other memes and gifs of encouragement and connect as peers in the knowledge creation process.
How to join?
Send your WhatsApp number to Neil Kramm and ask to be added to the group.

Mindfulness is a technique to train the brain to stay present in the current moment without judgements.
Why do we do in these workshops?
Research shows that postgraduate students are more likely to experience stress and anxiety than other groups. At Rhodes University, we understand that the postgraduate journey is easier when we do it in a community. These mindfulness workshops serve as one of the many spaces to find new colleagues and support each other.
