How do I make my video?

The research message in just 3 minutes!

The Rules:

It is VERY important that you read through these rules before you make your video.

Upload a video in which you tell us about your research. Use this link to enter.

You can make the video with your phone. You can hold the phone and video yourself or ask a friend to video your presentation.

The video may not include any other people in the shot besides yourself.

If you choose to include a PPT slide or any other graphic, it should be only ONE slide and no animation. (We're looking for an engaging discussion of your research work and great presentation skills - not technological bells and whistles!)

The video must be a maximum of 3 minutes long. Any submission longer than 3 minutes will be cut off at the 3 minute mark.

What to consider when making the video.

• We are looking for clarity of message (can anybody from any discipline understand it?)

• We are looking for engagement (is it interesting?)

• We are looking for videos that can convince us about the value of postgraduate research - and of your study in particular.

Who may enter?

• Honours 

• PG Diploma

• Master's, and

• PhD students

• Postdoctoral fellows...
