The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) programs in English, Social Studies, and Mathematics at Rizal Technological University – Pasig Branch have demonstrated sustained and measurable growth from AY 2018 to AY 2023. These programs consistently attract aspiring educators, supported by strong alignment with national teacher workforce priorities, proximity to feeder Senior High Schools, and the College’s reputation for delivering quality and values-driven teacher education.
All three programs exhibit healthy enrollment patterns, characterized by stable first-semester intakes, expected but minimal semester-to-semester fluctuations, and resilience even during challenging academic years. The BSEd – Social Studies program has reached its highest enrollment in five years, while the BSEd – English program reflects parallel long-term growth driven by the demand for multi-literate and globally competitive educators. Meanwhile, BSEd – Mathematics maintains a steady enrollment base—reflecting consistent interest in math-focused teaching careers despite the rigor of mathematics coursework nationwide.
Collectively, these positive trends affirm the College of Education’s unwavering commitment to developing competent, innovative, and 21st-century-ready educators, and highlight RTU–Pasig Branch as a strategic and responsive center for teacher formation in the region.
