Dear River Trails Community,
This is an exciting time in the River Trails 26 School District. In December, the Board of Education voted to place a referendum question on the April 2 ballot for $19 million to renovate and add to Park View School.
If approved, the referendum will address our significantly growing enrollment issues. The funding will renovate and add additional learning spaces to Park View School, making it large enough for all district preschool and kindergarten classes.
The remodeled Park View School will have classroom space, a gymnasium/lunchroom, a library, an office and room for fine arts, in addition to an outdoor playground and play space. The school will have a secure entrance and the same safety measures as in our other schools.
As many of you already know, our district is experiencing significant increases in our enrollment. Enrollment has steadily increased more than 12 percent since 2012 and is expected to increase almost 18 percent more in the next eight years. Preschool and kindergarten students will move to Park View, opening additional classrooms at both Euclid and Indian Grove schools to accommodate the increased enrollment.

Esta es una época emocionante para el Distrito Escolar 26 River Trails. En Diciembre, el Consejo Educativo votó para hacer una pregunta sobre el referéndum de la propuesta del 2 de Abril por $19 millones para renovar la Escuela Park View.
