ABOUT ME!

This is my nineteenth year teaching.  I grew-up in the small town of Rice, Minnesota just north of St. Cloud.  I received my undergraduate degree from the College of Saint Benedict in Saint Joseph, Minnesota.  I later went on to continue my education by getting my Master’s Degree from Saint Mary’s University.  My first teaching opportunity was at Onaga Elementary in Yucca Valley, California.  I taught there for three years before I moved back to Minnesota to teach at RTR.  At RTR I have taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade, as well as two combination grade classes (K/1 & 1/2).  Although I enjoy them all, second grade is my favorite!  I live on a farm outside Tyler with my husband Dennis and our sons Evan (11), Klay (8), and Hudson (6).  I love spending time with my boys!  This past summer we spent lots of time camping and playing outside.  I love drinking coffee (hot, iced, or even lukewarm), reading, watching sports, playing fantasy football, cooking, traveling and watching my boys grow-up (even though I wish time would slow down a little).
