Miriam began learning Spanish as a student at THMS many years ago. In the years since, she left Maine, traveled to 22 countries, graduated from Smith College, improved her Spanish and studied Portuguese and French too, attended The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, and moved back to Maine. Miriam teaches Spanish with a focus on comprehension and communication. She integrates the methodologies of Comprehensible Input and Organic World Language and uses personalized stories and games to make the language feel fun and relevant. When not teaching, Miriam loves spending time with her husband and toddler.
