Welcome to the 6th grade! This page is designed to keep you AND your parents informed about what is going on in the classroom. I will be posting everything from the days assignments, to learning targets, to notes on lessons for you to find later. I will do my best to keep this page updated so that everyone can experience your learning progress with you. I hope that sixth grade will be a very exciting year and that I can make learning interesting and meaningful for you!
About Me:
My name is Mrs Carmichael, some of you may know me as Ms. Meservey; I got married this summer and that comes with a new name. I graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2015 with a degree in Elementary Education. Ever since I decided to become a teacher, I knew that middle school was the place for me. During my time at UMF, I dedicated my studies to finding out how to best teach middle school learners. I was super grateful and excited when I landed my position here at MJHS in the summer of 2015. This is my fifth year here and I can't wait to see what it brings! Currently I am pursuing a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology at UMaine
When I am not in the classroom teaching, I enjoy going for long walks and tracking my steps on my Fitbit. This passion is shown in the classroom as I often get my learners up and moving. I can also be found in the kitchen trying out new recipes!
Learning Summary:
