My partner and I built our own set of cornhole boards from scratch, combining woodworking, painting, and sewing into a fun and rewarding project. We started by cutting plywood and framing lumber to regulation size and assembling the boards. Once built, we sanded them smooth and painted custom designs, sealing them with polyurethane for durability. For the bean bags, we sewed heavy-duty fabric into squares, filled them with dried corn, and double-stitched the seams for extra strength. Our favorite part of this project was improving our wordworking skills, while also getting to choose our own design to put on the boards. The most challenging aspect of this project was ensuring all of the beanbags were evenly filled, with stitching that was straight and would last.
