Our Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program is designed to prepare students for certification in the State of Maine. This comprehensive program includes:
70 hours of classroom instruction: Covering essential healthcare knowledge and skills.
20 hours of lab practice: Hands-on training in a controlled environment.
40 hours of clinical experience: Real-world application under professional supervision.
Students who successfully complete the program will be eligible to take the State of Maine CNA competency test and will receive assistance with filing the necessary forms to be placed on the State of Maine CNA registry.
Additionally, optional Personal Support Specialist (PSS) training is available for students who request it, allowing them to further enhance their skills and expand their career opportunities in healthcare.

The CNA Med "Pharmacology" - Medication Technician program is designed to provide Certified Nurse Assistants with advanced training in medication management. This 120-hour course includes:
60 hours of classroom instruction: Covering medication administration, drug interactions, side effects, and record-keeping under nursing supervision.
20 hours of lab practice: Hands-on experience in administering medications and managing related procedures.
40 hours of clinical training: Real-world application in healthcare settings to ensure competency in pharmacology practices.
Eligibility Requirements:
At least one year of full-time employment as a CNA.
Current good standing on the Maine State CNA Registry.
Students must have access to a nursing drug reference book, typically available through their employer or healthcare facility. This program equips students with the skills needed to enhance their professional responsibilities and meet the growing demand for medication technicians in the healthcare industry.
