Sunrise Bakery & Cafe was founded and owned by my great grandmother Faye Lawrence from 1995-2000. Sunrise was very popular, it even got into the Morning Sentinel newspaper! My great grandmother was very passionate about baking and that has been passed down through every women in my family. Sadly, Sunrise is no longer being run by my grandmother as she was ready to take a step back and enjoy her family. Though Sunrise isn't the name anymore, there is still a bakery in that very building.
