HISTORY OF OUR PRODUCT

The point of the Maine Sampler is that all products tie or lead back to Maine in some way, this is how our products are involved with Maine as well as the history behind the products.

Vanilla Ice Cream

With Maine having over 176 dairy farms and the leading ingredient in ice cream being milk, ice cream ties back to Maine exponentially.

Blueberry Syrup

Blueberries were mass harvested for the first time in the 1600's. Maine also produces 99% of all the blueberries in the United States. Blueberries contribute to over 250 million dollars in Maine's economy. They are tremendously connected to Maine.

Dap Ups

The "Dap Up" was developed by black service members in Vietnam, it is a combination between hand and body, the "Dap Up" can be as simple as bumping fists or as complex as doing multiple hand gestures and incorporating bumping chests. Thousands of children and even adults across the state of Maine participate in "dapping up", including me and my other associates at "Dap It Up Ice Cream", so as you can see dapping is most definitely connected to Maine.
