SAT - The Maine Department of Education partners with Measured Progress, Inc. and College Board to develop and administer the SAT. The SAT is a standardized assessment for grades 11 and 12 in Mathematics and English Language Arts. An essay is part of this assessment.

PSAT - The PSAT is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship as well as being used as a practice test for the SAT. The two sections in the PSAT are Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing. Students in grades 9, 10 and 11 take the PSAT in October. Reports are returned to the school in early December, and teachers use these results to inform their instructional planning.
eMPowerME - Measured Progress partners with the Maine Department of Education to administer the eMPowerME standardized assessment in Mathematics and English Languages Arts. The online test is administered at grades 3-8. The last administration of eMPowerME occured in the spring of 2019. The state has transitionted to NWEA for the state assessment for grades 3-8 and third year of high school.

NWEA - NWEA is a computerized test that is given in grades kindergarten through grade 8. The purpose of giving NWEA is to let teachers know how each student is progressing in ELA and math skills and concepts, as well as indicating areas of students’ strengths or areas where students may require additional support. NWEA is a nationally normed assessment. NWEA is aligned to state standards and is a tool teachers use for planning instruction based on specific needs of students. NWEA has become the current state assessment for grades 3-8 and third year high school.
