Work Experience

The Nokomis Work Experience Program is designed to give students the opportunity to gain work and gain an educational experience to better prepare them for the transition they will be making from high school to their post secondary plans.

• The student must be in attendance and on time for both regular classes and work.
• The student must maintain a good academic standing in their current classes. A violation in this can result in suspension or dismissal from the program.
• The student must notify both their Employer and ELO Coordinator if they are going to be absent.
• The student must notify the ELO Coordinator if there are any employment concerns/issues.
• The student must conduct themselves in accordance with the mission and goals of Nokomis Regional High School.
• The student must supply the ELO Coordinator with both work and school schedules

The student must check in bi-weekly with the ELO Coordinator and provide bi-weekly or monthly copies of work hours signed and verified by their employer or supervisor.
