This is the fifth year for the Remember Patriot Day 14/4000 climb.  It is an event designed to memorialize those both injured and killed in the 9/11 attacks in New York, The Pentagon, and in the heroic sacrifices by those on United Airlines flight 93. Similar to Flags on the 48, a program based in New Hampshire, Remember Patriot Day - 14/4000' aims to raise our American flag on ALL the summits of the 14 Maine mountains over 4000 feet in remembrance of  9/11. Together with our climbing brethren in New Hampshire this would raise 62 American Flags over ME/NH 4000+' peaks!!!

the climb will occur SAT 9/13 (due to 9/11 falling on a THU in 2025)

Please sign up on the "Book a MTN" tab and you can view the mountains as they get filled.  If contact information is provided you can coordinate link-up times and trail plans.  Again the goal is to have ALL of the 14ea 4000' MTNs summited by a climbing group and our Nation's flag flown at the summit.
