How to Pin a Tab
Right-click on the tab.
Choose "Pin" from the drop-down menu.
How to Unpin a Tab
Simply right-click on the pinned tab
Then click "Unpin" from the pop-up menu.
Benefits of Pinning a Tab
The tab will take up less space, just showing the icon for the site.
You can't accidentally close the tab, because there is no "X" to click on.
The next time you open Chrome the pinned tab will still be there.
Emojis and Icons for bookmarks! This saves a lot of space in your bookmark tab.
Start by right-clicking on an existing bookmark.
Then choose "Edit…" from the pop-up menu.
The "Edit bookmark" window will open.
Delete out all of the text in the "Name" box.
Or remove the text and replace it with something as short as possible, such as a single letter, or even an emoji.
Then click "Save".
Creating Bookmark Folders
First right-click on any empty spot on the bookmarks bar.
Then choose "Add folder…" from the pop-up menu.
This will open the "New folder" window.
Here we can type in the "Name" we want for our folder.
And then click "Save" when done.
Adding Bookmarks to the Folder
Click once on a link in the address bar to select it.
Then click again and while holding down, drag the link right into the bookmarks folder where we want it.
Click on the "Share this page" icon in the URL bar (for PC and Mac) or click in the URL bar (for Chromebooks).
Click on the option for "Create QR Code".
You will now get a drop-down window with your QR Code.
Click the "Download" button to save your own copy of it.
