In 5th grade, students expand their creativity by composing, listening with imagination, and preparing for performance. This is a year of leadership and expressive growth as we get ready for middle school music opportunities.

What we are learning:

Expressive listening and connecting music to emotions, colors, and stories
Using technology (like Canva and DAW) to bring musical ideas to life
Group performance and leadership skills
Exploring how music connects to cultures and communities

Students are turning their listening reflections into AI artwork using Canva! Soon, you'll be able to see how they imagined music as colors, stories, and images.

Opportunities in 5th Grade:

As students prepare to move into middle school, they have the opportunity at Manchester Elementary School to join band, orchestra or general music class. We're building the confidence and skills now to be ready to continue these exciting opportunities!
