Welcome to RSU1's Multilingual Learners (MLs) program.

RSU1 welcomes students and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. RSU1's English Multilingual Learners Program serves students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade. We strive to ensure that all students have equal access to content instruction while learning English at the same time. It is the policy of RSU1 to provide an equitable and appropriate education to all students. The purpose of this program is to ensure Multilingual Learners (MLs) are provided with an educationally appropriate instruction in a manner to achieve English language proficiency and to fulfill their academic potential. RSU1 believes in student success, professional excellence, and community connections in all aspects and programs and for all students. Our diverse backgrounds add richness to our classrooms, our personal interactions, and our understanding of others and of ourselves. It is the belief that all cultures, groups, and individuals should be recognized and respected. We can all benefit from different perspectives and experiences. Together we can succeed, reach excellence, and connect as a global community.
