The PES library is excited to welcome X. Fang, a Maine based author/illustrator on May 22, 2026. Ms. Fang is the author of Broken, Dim Sum Palace and We Are Definitely Human.
The school will not be handling book sales. Please see the PES Newsletter, April 16, 2026 edition, for information on where to purchase books to be signed.
This year's Chickadee Book Award Winner was Luigi, The Spider Who Wanted to be a Kitten! Not only did PES vote it as their favorite, so did the whole State of Maine!
Coding! Students have been experimenting with coding after reading two books: How to Code a Sandcastle and How to Code a Rollercoaster. Students did non-tech coding with graphs and cups and then got a chance to use the Bee-Bots to complete challenges.
Students have been doing a great job in the library! I am impressed with how responsible they are with their books. Students are doing a great job caring for them at home and returning them on time. As a reminder, students' books are checked out for one week at a time. They are welcome to renew their books if they haven't finished them.
