Welcome to the Dike Newell School Library. My name is Lisa Hardman and I am the District Librarian for the Dike Newell School. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Maine at Farmington and a Masters of Library Science degree from the University of South Carolina. I am a certified School Library Media Specialist.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I hope to share my love of reading with my students as well as to help them to find resources on topics of interest to them.
Lending Policies
Thanks to the generosity of community members, pre-k students may select a book to keep each week. Kindergarten students check out one book each week, with the books remaining at school. First grade students check out one book per week and may bring their books home. Second grade students may check out two books per week.

Hours of Operation
In addition to coming to the library for their class's weekly visit, students can visit the library before school to return books. They may also visit at the end of the day on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. The library offers many special activities such as STEAM Club, Acting Club, Bee-Bots and Lego Club. Be sure to check the News section of the library's website to see what fun things are going on!
