General Guidelines
The conference is open to SUCs/HEIs, research institutions, government and non-government agencies, graduate students and postgraduate researchers, and professionals.

1. The members/participants shall be encouraged through an invitation to submit technical papers on the following research and extension tracks that are related to the theme of the congress:
The INSIGHT 2025 shall cover the following thematic areas:
a. Environmental and Green Engineering (EGM)
• Climate Resilience and DRRM
• Ecosystem Restoration and Conservation
• Environmental Monitoring and Remote sensing
• Climate Policy and Governance
b. Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience (CCAR)
• Climate Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction
• Ecosystem Restoration and Conservation
• Environmental Monitoring and Remote Sensing
• Climate Policy and Governance
c. Digital Transformation (DT)
• IoT and Smart Systems
• Artificial Intelligence Application
• Big Data and Data Analytics
• E-Governance
• Technology Integration in various Fields.
d. Innovation and High-Technology Engineering (IHTE)
2. The paper should be an original and unpublished research result of the author (s).
3. The paper must follow the prescribed style and format. (see last page)
4. Entries must be submitted upon registration on/before April 25, 2025 at https://bit.ly/INSIGHT2025REG. The file name must follow this format, Presenter’s Surname_Title of Paper (e.g. Rizal_Noli Me Tangere). Note: The deadline for submission will be strictly followed. Participants are not allowed to make changes to the content of their submissions beyond the deadline.
5. All participants/presenters must register for the conference through the designated online registration portal. (https://bit.ly/INSIGHT2025REG). Registration is open until April 25, 2025.
6. Registration is made official once proof of payment is uploaded. Upload your proof of payment in Google Drive using https://bit.ly/INSIGHT2025Payment following this syntax: Proof of Payment_INSIGHT2025_Surname_presenter/non-presenter”. The deadline for payment is on June 13, 2025. Kindly refer to the payment procedures and registration rates mentioned below.
7. Participants who are not presenters are advised to register as PARTICIPANT in the provided registration portal.
All presenters must submit to the Secretariat a copy of their recorded presentation upon receiving their notification of acceptance on or before June 13, 2025, through https://bit.ly/INSIGHT2025_VideoPPT. The file name for the video presentation must follow this format, Presenter’s Surname_Title of Paper (e.g. Rizal_Noli Me Tangere).
The video presentations must be in MP4 format, a maximum of 10 minutes following the prescribed template.
Text of slides and transparencies should be easily read.
Video not received on or before the deadline will not be considered for presentation.
● The actual time allowed for the presentation is 20 minutes including the question and answer portion.
If interested, participants may submit their full paper for publication to partner journals. The APC will depend on the corresponding rates of accepting journal.
Zoom will be the platform to be used. Zoom credentials together with the Zoom background will be sent to your respective email address 5 days prior to the scheduled event.
Participants and Presenters are encouraged to join the opening ceremonies and are advised to join the meeting 20 minutes before the start of the program.
The naming/syntax for Zoom: (category_school_surname, eg. EGM_RSU_Protacio)
● All papers submitted will be screened and evaluated for presentation during the congress.
● Official communication/Notification of acceptance will be sent to the author (s) of the papers that have been considered for the competition and will be advised to revise the paper (if necessary). Notice of Acceptance (NOA) will be sent until May 30, 2025. Failure to pay the registration fee merits withdrawal of entry.
Aspects of the Research Presentation that will be relevant in judging the Awardee:
1. Problem Definition and Methodology (30%)
● Statement of the research problem, the objectives, and the significance of the research should be clearly stated.
● Use of a research methodology appropriate to the objectives of the research.
2. Theoretical/Conceptual Framework (20%)
● A discerning selection of the relevant, current, and related literature (primary references e.g. journal articles)
3. Results and Conclusion (30%)
● Results and analysis address the research problem and objectives.
● The research paper provides new insights and discusses the implications of the results with reference to the significance of the research
4. Oral presentation (20%)
● Clarity of presentation with appropriate visual aids.
● Thorough presentation of the highlights of the research within the prescribed time limit.
● Ability to respond to the questions or points of clarification by the panel or the audience.
Scores for each phase and the decision of the evaluators are final and irrevocable.
Romblon State University shall ask for information to be an eligible participant in this competition. In doing so, RSU will comply with the implementing rules and regulations of Republic Act 10173 - Data Privacy Act of 2012. Rest assured that RSU will not share nor sell personal information to any other third party.
RSU has no rights to ownership of the proposed solutions of the teams. Participants are recognized as authors of their submitted solutions; thus, they have full rights to ownership of their solutions. The use and implementation of these solutions are the decision of the participants.
