Professional Staff

Mr. Bowman is a 2014 Alumnus of Western Carolina University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a minor in Mathematics. In 2019 Mr. Bowman received his Certification as a National Board Certified Teacher. At WCU, he was highly involved in both the Concert Band (Wind Ensemble) as well as the "Pride of the Mountains" Marching Band. While marching, he was given the opportunity and privilege to serve as Section Leader, Staff Coordinator and Drum Major. With the band he marched in the Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena, CA as well as the Bands of America Grand National Championships. In the concert band setting, he periodically played alongside the professionals in the Asheville Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Bowman also works as the Church Music Director at St. James Lutheran Church in Rockwell, NC. Mr. Bowman enjoys spending time with his wife Charity, daughter Amelia, and their and cat (Penny). In May 2020, they plan to welcome their second daugther, Alice.
