Remsen St. Mary’s Class of 1975 Celebrates 50th Reunion in Yankton, South Dakota

The Remsen St. Mary’s Class of 1975 gathered for a memorable 50th reunion at the scenic Lewis & Clark Resort, just west of Yankton, South Dakota. A total of 21 classmates made the journey to reconnect and reminisce.

The celebration was hosted by Mary Lynn Heuertz Robb, who has proudly called Yankton home for the past 47 years. Her choice to hold the reunion in her adopted hometown proved to be a perfect one. The group arrived on April 24 and departed on April 26, enjoying a full itinerary of events and quality time together.

Friday, April 25, was devoted to exploration and discovery. The day began with a morning tour of Gavin’s Point Dam, the final dam along the mighty Missouri River. Later, classmates regrouped for lunch before heading to the Mead Museum in North Yankton. There, they admired the breathtaking marble staircase and took in the fascinating exhibits—many learning new historical facts and even getting the rare chance to see an original Jefferson Peace Medal up close.

The day concluded with a lively visit to the iconic Ice House Bar, one of only two such establishments remaining in the entire country. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with laughter, learning, and nostalgia.

Everyone left with full hearts and shared the sentiment that Yankton had been an ideal setting for such a meaningful milestone. Here's to the memories made—and the friendships that continue to stand the test of time.

The RSM Class of 1969 began their reunion gatherings on Friday night at the football game. On Saturday, they toured the high school and the weight room, where Dave Fisch explained the renovations that are being planned.
