What is a toonie made out of?

Before 2012, toonies were made out of three metals: Nickel, Copper, and Aluminum. The outer ring (the silver part) was made 99% out of nickel while the inner core (the yellow/gold pais 92% copper, 6% aluminum, and 2% nickel. Now, toonies are made out of multi-ply nickel plated steel (outer core) and multi-ply brass plated aluminum bronze (inner core). What are these made out of?
