In addition, students must successfully complete an individual portfolio to graduate from Stellar Charter School. This includes collecting the required elements in their college/career portfolio and participating in Stellar’s Exit Interview. The required elements are found on the checklist that is attached to the student's College/Career Portfolio.
Stellar Charter School is focused on College and Career Readiness. The purpose of the college/career portfolio is to provide a comprehensive integrated approach to high school career education activities. Students collect pertinent data about themselves and their achievements which is eventually compiled into a Senior Exit Portfolio. The portfolio forms the basis of the Senior Exit Interview in which students present themselves and their achievements to a team of interviewers. The team of interviewers includes educational professionals. Presentation of the Exit Portfolio and participating in the Exit Interview will occur for most students during the last week of on site classes. Completion of these two elements are graduation requirements.
