Coach Erin Taylor has been coaching at Rockwood Summit for 12 years, 11 years as head coach. During her tenure, the Silver Stars have received many high scores in regional and state level competitions as well as placed nationally. They are back to back 4A Missouri State Champions and also won state in 2013, her first year as head coach. The Silver Stars and Coach Taylor have won choreography awards for her work with Bridgette Fletcher on "Assassins" and with Sam Knight on "With a Little Help from My Friends". Coach Taylor graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a major in Dance and an emphasis in Modern. She has also been in multiple dance companies in Kansas City and St. Louis. Coach Taylor is the communication specialist at Rockwood Summit during the day. She is also a dance teacher at Charmette Academy of Dance in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and acrobatics and an Assistant Director of their Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company competitive team. She has won many choreography awards and high scores for her routines for the Stars of Tomorrow. Coach Taylor is thrilled to continue to be a part of the Silver Stars Dance Team and hopes to inspire other young people to be passionate about dance and their futures!
Coach P started dance and gymnastics at the age of 3. By middle school she was focusing on dance and couldn’t wait to try out for the Silver Stars Dance Team in High School! Coach P was a 4 year Summit Silver Star. Coach P attended college at the University of Houston and graduated Summa Cum Laude with degrees in political science and dance. While in college she was able to work with professional choreographers and perform in the University of Houston’s Dance Ensemble. She was also featured in multiple student choreographed pieces. After moving back to St Louis, Coach P became the assistant coach of the Lafayette High School Escadrille. While at Lafayette the team saw 2 top 10 Nationals finishes (2017 and 2018) and 1 top 5 state (6A Division) finish (2018). In 2018 Coach P took over as Head Coach of the Eureka High School Golden Line. While coaching Golden Line the team advanced to Semi Finals at NDTC twice (2019 and 2020), and placed 2nd overall at State In 2021 (5A Division). In 2021 Coach P joined the University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy in St Louis’s athletics staff as their inaugural Head dance coach. In addition to coaching at Summit she is busy building a brand new collegiate team in the St Louis area! When not coaching dance, Coach P spends her time at home in South City with her husband Adam and their dog, Dora.
Coach Rachel Rea has been coaching at Rockwood Summit for two years as an assistant coach. Since joining the Silver Stars, she has assistant coached the 2021-2022 Varsity team where they won the 2022 4A State Championship. She was trained at Starbound Dance Company. Outside of Silver Stars, Coach Rea is a Social Studies Teacher at Rockwood Summit. She attended Lindenwood University and graduated in 2021 with her Bachelor's of Arts in Historical Studies. Coach Rea is excited for another season with the Silver Stars Dance Team and to inspire future generations to continue their love of dance.
