What are we going to be learning Math?

Well, we are going to:

Explore concepts to ensure that students are able to communicate and reason mathematically, problem solve, work cooperatively, and develop confidence in their mathematical abilities.
A focus will also be placed on fact mastery, and students will work to improve their speed and accuracy
Dive into an understanding of how to add and subtract fractions.
Review good ole' fashion arithmetic with whole numbers and decimals
Develop an understanding of how place value works
Use data and measurements to find area, convert units, and solve word problems
Dip our toes into the pool of geometry
Begin to discover algebraic thinking
