7th grade Book Trailers selected to show at Eureka Hills Library Branch
Congratulations to all of the 7th-grade students whose book trailer was selected to be on display at the St. Louis County Library-Eureka Hills Branch! The 7th students in CCLA made a book trailer about a teen book that was at least 2 minutes long. The St. Louis County Library then selected its favorite book trailers to be displayed in the teen section of the library. The book trailers are accessible by a QR code that visitors can scan with their phones. They are currently on display and will be displayed until around the end of May. One student, Elena Brumitt, made her book trailer about The Selection and was chosen to be displayed. Way to go, Elena! This is what she had to say, "I made this book trailer because I enjoyed this book and series so much. Making the book trailer was very fun and entertaining. I hope to inspire others to read it!"
The Selection is about 35 girls in a competition called The Selection, where the girls compete for Prince Maxon's heart. They will become the princess and eventually the queen. In conclusion, these students worked very hard and did an amazing job on their book trailer project.

6th grader, Nora Needham, and 8th grader, Peyton Hoff, were busy during Advisory this quarter, visiting different classrooms each week to present information about hearing loss. Both students wear cochlear implants in order to hear more accurately. The girls developed their presentation as a way to inform others about their devices and why they are needed. Nora and Peyton hope that by sharing their experience with others, people will work toward being more patient and understanding if someone with hearing loss asks to repeat what was said or speak more slowly.
Lots of Lasalle Springs students participated in the District Track Meet! Great job to all track athletes! The events were held on May 6th, 7th, and 9th. Everyone said that they enjoyed the competition and hanging out with their friends was very fun too!
Coaches/PE Teachers are extremely proud of all of your hard work and efforts, and they are already looking forward to next year.
