I'd love to take some time to introduce myself. I'm thrilled to be the Theatre teacher at CMS!
I was born in St. Louis, MO.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Speech & Theatre Education & Master's Degree in Theatre from Missouri State University.
I have been involved in theatre since the age of 8. (Performer, Choreographer, Director, etc.)
I have over 13 years of formal dance training. (ballet, tap, jazz, etc.)
I taught 8th grade Language Arts, Speech/Theatre, and Computer Applications (Journalism) in Marshall, MO for 4 years.
I spent 6 summers teaching drama at a girls' Point O' Pines Camp for Girls in upstate New York.
I taught Speech/Drama at Rockwood Valley MS and Rockwood South MS 2013-2014.
I have directed Rockwood/Parkway Community Ed's Spotlight Productions for 3 summers (Tarzan, Shrek, & Newsies).
I have been teaching Speech/Drama full-time at Crestview MS since 2014.
On a more personal note:
I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful sons (Joey & Frankie) and a daughter (Maggie).
I enjoy reading, singing, dancing, and spending time with my family outside of my time at school.
My favorite role as a performer was as Fantine in Les Miserables.
My favorite show I've ever seen was Hairspray. After the curtain call, the audience was so excited by the performance that we all got up and danced in the aisles.
