about me

I was born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut, and moved to Wolcott for 8th grade and high school. Most of my time was spent studying and playing sports. I was captain of my tennis team, and my goal was to endlessly encourage my teammates to live up to their fullest potential.

After high school, I moved to Florida where I received my Associate of Arts degree in Theatre, and Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Florida. After spending many years as a professional actor, director, and playwright... I began teaching drama and writing at schools and summer camps all over Florida and New York.

I fell in love with teaching, and so a few years ago I moved back to Connecticut and received my Master of Science in Elementary Education at the University of Bridgeport, and I was awarded the ASCD Outstanding Elementary Resident Teacher of the Year. I gained my elementary classroom experience in the Cheshire Public School District, and my memories there were integral in shaping me as the teacher I am now, and the one that will continue to learn and grow with each new experience.

I love teaching more than anything... but all tied for a close 2nd is: Theatre, Superman, Red Sox, coffee and my favorite book... The Little Prince.

Contact me at anytime through e-mail. I have a 100% transparent and open door policy.
