This Google website is set up for basic training of Google tools in additon to offering a variety of learning pathways for educators.
This site also offers an optional path for Google certifications. If you have any questions about either please do not hesitiate to contact me at jbacewicz@rsd17.org I completed the Level One (12 hour) training and will be taking the assessment in the near future so I have some insight to offer,
Basic Tips for Creating Instructional Videos
1) Keep videos short ~ 3-5 minute chunks_attention span of learner & larger files are harder to upload!
2) Keep background setting neutral and background noise to a minimum.
3) Talk to your students. Video lessons are not broadcasts.
4) Show more than you tell. The camera doesn't have to be focused on you. Props/instructional material make the video more engaging.
5) Have fun and vary the format!
