Respect everyone in the classroom. Including yourself, your classmates, and me.
Leave the room as you found it. Clean up after yourself and push in your chairs.
I dismiss you at the end of class, not the announcements. Wait until I give you the okay to leave.
Raise your hand and don’t speak while others are speaking.
Assignments/Grading:
Grading
A 100-92
B 91-83
C 82-74
D 73-65
F Below 65
Your average will consist of the following:
Assignments, Projects, Labs 40%
Tests/Quizzes 60%
Assignments:
Daily homework assignments will almost always be graded out of ten points.
Some assignments will be graded on effort. If you turn it in and try your best, you will receive ten points.
Most assignments will be graded on accuracy.
Correcting or retaking assignments or tests:
You can fix assignments and receive points back by resubmitting.
The corrections must be turned in before the end of each unit.
If you correct an assignment, I will average your two scores.
Tests may also be retaken.
Cheating:
If you are caught cheating, the assignment or test score will be logged into Skyward as a zero with a note (caught cheating) for all students involved.
The involved students will be reported to the office.
Absences and Tardiness
Expectation if Absent:
If you are absent, the expectation is that you will check Google Classroom to see what you are missing.
It is your responsibility to get these materials the day you get back.
Expectation if Absent for School Sponsored Event (sports, show chorus, FFA or other field trip):
You will need to make sure you hand in or submit any assignments due, before your departure.
You will need to pick up any new assignments before your departure.
Failure to do so will result in a late grade.
Other Classroom Rules
Students will be allowed to bring their own water bottle to class.
These will contain only water.
Snacks are not allowed unless you require them for a medical condition I am made aware of.
Leave backpacks and purses in your lockers.
Leave your phones in your lockers. If I catch you with your phone, I will confiscate it and give it to the office for you to collect at the end of the school day.
