Biography

Welcome to our class website! I started teaching for the School District of Reedsburg in 1985 as a third grade teacher for 5 years and a fourth grade teacher for 2 years. I stayed home to raise my family from 1992 to 2006 when I returned to teach fifth grade again in our district. I have been teaching as fifth grade teacher since then. I'm looking forward to teaching fifth grade math, science and health at Pineview again this year. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!

I have been team teaching fifth grade with Mrs. Corbin since 2012. We make a great team and are here for our students. We have the same class room rules, expectations, and guidelines for our students. If you ever have a question or concern, feel free to contact us.

I received my degree at University of Wisconsin - Madison. This last summer I completed my Masters of Education with a concentration in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) from Augustana University. I began my teaching career at the Reedsburg School District. After my first son was born, I took a child rearing leave for several years and taught at Madison College part time for over 10 years. I taught math, science, and ESL courses for the college. When the boys were older, I returned to teaching for the Reedsburg School District full time and continued teaching nights at the college at the same time for a couple of years after my return. I have never appreciated more the time I had with my own children or the insight they have given me to teach my fifth graders.
