Welcome! I am excited to be working with your student this year at Webb Middle School. I have the opportunity to teach seventh grade math as well as high school Algebra for eighth grade. My teaching goal is to help your child realize his or her full potential in math and gain the confidence to solve real-world problems relating to math.
My teaching journey has taken me across the country from Missouri to Montana. I earned my first teaching degree in mathematics at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. From there, I taught in a rural Missouri town before moving west to Colorado. I earned my Master's Degree in Middle School Education at the University of Northern Colorado and taught in the Roaring Fork Valley District in Colorado. My husband and I then moved to the Bitterroot Valley in Montana where we taught middle school together. Our journey brought us back to our roots in the Midwest. In 2005 we moved to Reedsburg where we continue to live and raise our children. In recent years I earned my Reading License from Viterbo. In December 2017, I earned my National Board Teacher Certification in Mathematics.
As a family, our three children, my husband and myself enjoy reading, hiking, kayaking and spending time together.
As you can see, I myself love learning and enjoy teaching children to appreciate the wonders of math and the enjoyment of learning. Please feel free to contact me throughout the school year with questions or concerns regarding your child.
