Late Work
You will be given a sheet of coupons from your math teacher. You may use up to 3 coupons a quarter. These coupons can only be used for daily work not tests or quizzes. You will also be given 100% bonus coupons. These can only be redeemed for assignments that were turned in on time. You may only use 1 bonus coupon per quarter. These coupons are left to the discretion of the teacher. The coupons will be given at the beginning of the quarter and are your responsibility to keep track of. Lost coupons will not be reimbursed. Parents should note that students will receive grade reports weekly.
Drinks/Bathroom Pass
Passes will be handled on an individual basis. If you follow the directions and do what is expected of you in the classroom, I will most likely honor your request.
Grading
I will be using a points system for grading. You will also be responsible for having a folder in which you will keep all assignments. These folders will be organized and collected for a grade at the end of each quarter.
Absences
It is your responsibility to make up what you have missed during an absence. You will have two days for each day absent to make up an assignment. The first thing that you should do after being absent is look at the calendar in the front of the room to see what you have missed. If you still have a question ask a classmate. If you still have questions ask me. If you need any materials that you missed you can usually find them on the table next to the calendar. If you cannot find the necessary materials make sure you ask me.
Materials Grade
Students will be responsible for a weekly material grade. Once a week I will be checking that the students have brought the appropriate materials to class. These materials consist of the following: text, folder, notebook, and pen or pencil. Each weekly grade will consist of 5 points. It is a full credit or no credit grade. If you bring all required materials you get 5 points, if you don't bring all required materials you receive no points. These 5 points add up quickly and are an easy way to increase your grade.
