Sixth Grade Classroom Guidelines



1. Students are expected to have their work completed by the beginning of each class. Late work will remain a zero if it is not turned in prior to the completion of the current unit.

  • any assignments turned in late will receive up to an 80%.
  • Homework is accepted up to 2 days before the end of unit test.

2. You are responsible for missing work due to absence. Make sure previously assigned work is turned in the day you return. It is the student's responsibility to approach his/her teachers about any work missed upon return.

3. Grading:

100 A+

99-93 A

92 A-

91 B+

90-84 B

83 B-

82 C+

81 -75 C

74 C-

73 D+

72-66 D

65 D-

Sixth grade families can access grades through the Skyward grading program. You received your login information in your folder at registration. If you have misplaced this information you can contact the middle school office.

4. You will not see grades posted for health. Health class will be every Friday and is a pass/fail class.

5. Sixth Grade Rules

1. Follow directions the first time.

2. Respect others and their property.

3. Bring needed materials with work completed on time.

4. Be on time, in seat, and ready to work.

5. Raise hand to be recognized before speaking.


6. 6th Grade Discipline Policy

Step 1- Verbal warning

Step 2- 2nd verbal warning

Step 3- Phone call home

Step 4- Referral to office

Immediate Disruption: immediate removal to STAC
