About Me

Hello! I am Marisa Faas, a Special Education Teacher at Westside Elementary. I grew up in Melrose, Wisconsin, a little town about 1 1/2 hours from Reedsburg. My husband and I moved to Reedsburg during the summer of 2014 and have loved living in the Reedsburg community! Our son was born in 2017 and our daughter was born in 2021. They are both such a blessing to us!

I went to Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and graduated with degrees in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Reading. I pursued this career because I am passionate about education! I believe all students can learn and succeed, and it is my mission to help provide opportunities for ALL students to do so. I believe students learn in many different ways and it is my goal to teach each student in a way, that meets their individual needs.

My favorite thing to do is spend time with my wonderful family and friends. I enjoy being outdoors camping, hiking, biking, and being in the sunshine. I also love to play the piano and listen to music.
