Hello! My name is Sarah Lancaster and I will be your child's kindergarten teacher this year.  I am thrilled to have your child in my class.    Although I will only have your child in class for a short time, I want to make a contribution that will last a lifetime.  Our days and weeks will be filled with many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow.  I am so excited that you will be part of our school family this  year.

 I want to take a moment to introduce myself to you.  I was born and raised in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.  I graduated from Viterbo College in LaCrosse with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education.  I began my teaching career at a private preschool in Illinois.  After spending two years in the Chicago area I was ready to come back to Wisconsin.  I began teaching at Westside in 2000 and have enjoyed every day of the past 22 years.  I am married and have three sons.  My oldest son, Jeremiah, is a RAHS graduate and now works at True Value. And my second son, Benjamin is a RAHS graduate and is attending UW-Oshkosh.   And our youngest child, Lucas, will be starting tenth grade!  My husband is the school chef at Sacred Heart School here in Reedsburg. 

I believe that a good parent-teacher relationship is necessary for maximum school success.  Throughout the year I will communicate with you through notes, telephone calls, newsletters, and parent teacher conferences.  I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time.
