Seventh grade Art is a transition year in art. First, the students only have art for a quarter rather than a whole semester. The reason is the students in seventh grade get a little taste of many different classes such as Tech Ed, Face, Agriculture, World Languages, Art and others. This is set up so students have a chance to experience many different subjects and are able to make an informed decision on what they would like to take in eighth grade for their elective classes.
Art in seventh grade focuses on long term projects and specific techniques that will help the students become better artists. Some of these techniques include color value, artistic design and layout, and coil ceramics.
