I am very excited to be back at Reedsburg Area High School considering this is where I grew up and graduated from. After high school, I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology and Family Studies from UW- Eau Claire. From there, I was given the opportunity to work as a paraprofessional in the 4K program for the Reedsburg School District while earning my Master's through Concordia University of Wisconsin. I spent one year as an elementary school counselor in Richland Center and then started at RAHS during the 2016-2017 school year.
When I am not working I enjoy reading, exercising, cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers, walking my dog, and spending time with my family and friends.
In the spring of 2021 my dog Willow joined the RAHS team! Willow, the therapy dog is a Sheepadoodle who is hypo-allergenic and does not shed. She has taken multiple obedience classes and has special training in therapy dog work. Therapy dogs can provide many benefits to schools including providing comfort and non-judgmental support. Even a short amount of time spent with a therapy dog can decrease levels of anxiety and help support mental health.
