Our mission is to provide a comprehensive and developmental school counseling program that meets the academic, personal/social and emotional needs of all students while supporting personal growth, academic success and career exploration.
The school counselors at RRMS adhere to the philosophy that all students can be successful and that our program is an essential and integral part of our school.
It is the belief of the counselors that:
Students can achieve their full potential by providing them with a safe and supportive environment
Proactive and preventative activities are essential
Continuous evaluations are needed to ensure that desired outcomes are being met as needs change
We adhere to the ethical guidelines/standards set by the ASCA National Model and NM Public Education Department
Collaboration with parents, staff, and administrators is important to ensure that effective strategies are employed to meet student success and achievement
Counseling services are available to all students and are implemented upon need. Parents and students may contact their counselor by phone or email.
