My name is Alecia Ortiz.  I have three beautiful children and a wonderful husband.  We are always greeted at the door by our three dogs.  This year is my 23rd year in education.  I spent 13 years in Texas where I taught Kindergarten for 7 years and fifth grade for 6 years before moving to New Mexico.  Since living in New Mexico, I have spent 2 years teaching Kindergarten and 4 years as an instructional coach before deciding to return to the classroom where I taught first grade for three years before moving to second grade.  I am looking forward to a great year.
