About Me

I’m a Level 3 teacher and previously taught 3rd grade for 9 years. I've taught at RRES since 2012.   I use a Nurtured Heart Classroom approach which means bringing out your child's greatness and potential, whether that is in academics, personality, or other artistic talents.   I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Education from UNM.  I was in the Air Force for almost seven years prior to teaching. Being an educator is my joy and passion. It’s never-ending learning process and I enjoy helping students grow and become their best selves.  I love to incorporate STEAM projects in the classroom and I use many different resources to integrate meaningful technology.  Lastly, I was trained in AVID which closes the gap to ensure all students are college and career ready by using best practices, organizational and note-taking strategies.
